Years of teaching typography finally led to me designing a typeface. This was created based on a work of a now dead calligrapher named Heber Grant that was then modified into a typeface. Kerning pairs in handwritten typefaces are a big challenge in keeping the ‘hand written’ look from turning into ‘computer hand written look’. [...]
A character was designed to be the spokesmodel for Worldwide Breast Cancer that would work in many cultures and be the source of the friendly voice in the educational materials.
